About

Hi! My name is Beth, and I'm from Indiana, USA. I'm in my mid-twenties and live on a small farm with horses, chickens, and 3 dogs. Mine is a Siberian Husky named Luna. We go everywhere together. I have a B.S. degree from Purdue University (not that I can find a job in which I can utilize it) and am a very quiet, artistic, and outdoorsy person. I love to read, draw and go camping.


My Interests
I mostly read fiction, but I do read the occasional non-fiction book, usually based on a recommendation. Within fiction, I typically favor fantasy or romance. I like being carried off into another world where the laws of physics may be broken or bent. I've recently been reading some children's fiction as I kind of skipped most of them in my younger years and went right for adult fiction.

Art is one of my passions. I love drawing, painting, and photography. I mostly focus on natural or landscape themes. A lot of my artwork is influenced by our camping trips to the Minnesota Boundary Waters. (If you like to go camping and love to rough it, then you need to check this place out!) Why I'm Blogging
I love reading and discussing books. I also like giving and receiving recommendations. My book reviews started on Goodreads. I often use book reviews in addition to the book rating to help me decide if I want to read the book. I have been finding a lot of good books this year; some of which, many people have never heard of. I wanted to share these books, so I started The Reading Muse with the hope that I could share these books with others and as a way to organize my reviews.You can read more about it here!
